Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel has found a new role within the AFC North, according to reports from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Field Yates.
The Cleveland Browns have tapped Vrabel to join their coaching staff and personnel department as a consultant, working alongside head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Vrabel’s tenure with the Titans ended after the conclusion of the 2023 season, during which the team finished with a 6-11 record and missed the playoffs for the second consecutive year, prompting his dismissal. Despite this, Vrabel’s track record includes leading the Titans to the playoffs three times between 2019 and 2021, accumulating a respectable 54-45 record over six seasons.

Although Vrabel’s departure from the Titans dashed hopes of another head coaching opportunity for the upcoming season, his new role with the Browns provides an opportunity to contribute while awaiting potential future opportunities.
Prior to his time with the Titans, Vrabel served as part of the coaching staff for the Houston Texans from 2014 to 2017 and had a stint with Ohio State University from 2011 to 2013. Notably, he also played collegiate football at Ohio State, making his new role with the Browns somewhat of a homecoming for the former player turned coach.
