The highly anticipated boxing showdown between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, initially slated for July 20, has been postponed, as revealed by Most Valuable Promotions.
This decision follows a medical consultation regarding Tyson’s recent ulcer flare-up, with doctors advising him to scale back his training regimen for a few weeks.
In a statement, Most Valuable Promotions stressed the importance of providing both athletes with equal preparation time to ensure they can perform at their peak.
Both Tyson and Paul have agreed to the postponement, prioritizing the well-being of the fighters.
Tyson is expected to resume his full training schedule soon, expressing gratitude to his fans for their support and assuring them of his commitment to returning to top form.
However, he also issued a warning to Paul, emphasizing that their eventual clash will see him emerge victorious.

Paul echoed his support for delaying the event, emphasizing his desire to face Tyson at his best.
Nevertheless, he remains confident in his abilities and promises an unforgettable performance when they finally meet in the ring.
The rescheduled date for the match, set to take place at AT&T Stadium, will be announced by June 7th.
Tyson had this to say,
“I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover. My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon. Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good. I appreciate everyone’s patience and can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year.”
Paul issued this following the cancelation,
“I fully support postponing the event so Mike Tyson has no excuses come fight night,” said Jake Paul. “My fans know I don’t want to face Iron Mike at anything but his best, but let there be no mistake – when he steps into the ring with me, I will be ready to claim my W with a sensational finish. Paul vs Tyson will be one for the ages, and I promise to bring my best for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup.”
