Throughout his professional career, Mike Trout has remained loyal to the only MLB team he has ever played for, and he has no plans to change teams anytime soon.
In a detailed profile by ESPN’s Alden Gonzalez, Trout expressed his strong commitment to the Angels, emphasizing his desire to stay with the team rather than seeking a trade. The three-time AL MVP is focused on winning with the Angels to disprove critics who suggest he needs to leave the team to achieve success. He is determined to lead his team to the playoffs and is doing everything possible to make that happen.
Trout started strong this season, hitting a home run in the first inning against Tampa Bay on Wednesday, which tied him for the major league lead with eight homers.

Having faced health issues over the past three seasons, Trout is now focused on maintaining his fitness and has played in all 18 games for the Angels this year. He told Gonzalez that he would communicate with the media if he ever decides to leave the Angels. Trout still has six years remaining on his contract, which includes a full no-trade clause, allowing him to veto any trade proposals.
When asked about the possibility of a trade, Trout said, “It hasn’t even crossed my mind yet.”
Since making his MLB debut in 2011, the Angels have only made one playoff appearance in 2014 and haven’t had a winning season since 2015. Despite these challenges, Trout’s resolve to transform the team’s fortunes in Anaheim has only strengthened.
