All attention is currently focused on the Michigan coaching staff.
Amid the ongoing saga surrounding the program, one of Michigan’s coaches has taken the step of deleting his X account. The Wolverines are still being investigated for sign-stealing, and the situation is compounded by the fact that Jim Harbaugh is set to miss the next two games due to suspension, having already sat out the last one. This comes in addition to a three-game ban earlier in the season.

Recent social media activity has brought to light that Steve Clinkscale, the team’s co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach, is no longer on X. Fans have noted the somewhat suspicious timing of this development.
Jeremy Birmingham, an analyst for Ohio State, commented on the situation on Twitter, stating, “I’m not really someone interested in gossip or propagating random conspiracy theories, but it does FEEL unusual for a high-ranking coaching staff member to have his Twitter account deleted a month before signing day.” He accompanied his statement with a screenshot of the deleted account.
Clinkscale, who joined the Wolverines as a defensive backs coach in advance of the 2021 season and was later promoted to co-defensive coordinator, has not provided any comment on the deleted account, and it is not anticipated that he will.
Michigan is scheduled to face Maryland this Saturday before their much-anticipated matchup against the Buckeyes on November 25.
