Despite signing a substantial deal with ESPN a few months ago, former punter-turned-media personality Pat McAfee claims that one of the network’s higher-ups is attempting to “sabotage” his show.
On Friday, McAfee openly called out ESPN executive Norby Williamson, labeling him a “rat” and asserting that he is among those wishing for the show’s failure.
McAfee’s comments surprised many, but two former ESPN personalities, Jemele Hill and Michelle Beadle, chimed in, seemingly expressing agreement. Hill responded to McAfee’s remarks with “I can relate,” while Beadle followed up with a tweet saying “well well well,” accompanied by a crying laughter emoji.

Both Hill and Beadle were prominently featured on various ESPN shows, but they encountered controversies during their time at the network.
Hill co-hosted “His and Hers” on ESPN with Michael Smith before being assigned to the coveted 6 PM SportsCenter. However, after struggling with ratings and audience connection, the show underwent changes, eventually removing Hill and Smith.
Beadle initially co-hosted Get Up alongside Mike Greenberg before leaving the show when Williamson assumed control of content decisions.
McAfee, known for his unorthodox approach and willingness to court controversy, appears to be one among several individuals expressing concerns about a specific ESPN executive.
