Michael Phelps, a 23-time Olympic gold medallist born in Baltimore, Maryland in 1985, has been a local celebrity for a long time.
Although he was known as “The Baltimore Bullet” throughout his swimming career, his ties to his birthplace extend beyond the water. Phelps’ decision to deliver the Game Ball for the AFC Championship Game earlier this year highlighted his longstanding links to Baltimore.
Now, he is once again making headlines as he shows support for Derrick “King Lamar” Henry, the newest player on the Baltimore Ravens, as they prepare for a Super Bowl run.
Phelps recently re-shared an Instagram post on his story of the news, welcoming Henry to Baltimore with the caption, “Welcome to Baltimore @ravens.”
