The ongoing drama surrounding The Blind Side is intensifying.
Tensions are escalating between former NFL offensive tackle Michael Oher and the Tuohy family regarding royalties from their depiction in the movie The Blind Side, as revealed in documents obtained by TMZ.

According to the documents, Oher has been issuing threats of public defamation against the Tuohy family unless they agree to pay him $15 million in royalties. Oher claims he was “robbed” of $50 million and initially lowered his demand to $10 million before reinstating it to $15 million.
In a message to the family, Oher stated, “If something isn’t resolved this Friday, I’m going to go ahead and tell the world how I was robbed by my supposed to be [sic] parents. That’s the deadline… Think how it will look when it comes out.”
TMZ shared additional documents indicating that Oher and the Tuohy family received an equal sum of $138,309.90 in royalties from The Blind Side. Notably, the film generated $309 million in revenue against a $29 million budget.
Michael Oher gained prominence through his college football career with the Ole Miss team and later as a first-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens. However, it was The Blind Side in 2009 that catapulted him to national recognition as a standout offensive tackle.
The movie, which earned Sandra Bullock an Oscar for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy, also received a Best Picture nomination. The current dispute, 14 years later, is casting doubt on the accuracy of the film.
