Count on Michael Jordan to go to any lengths for a win.
In addition to his numerous other notable traits, Michael Jordan is renowned for being an exceptionally intense gambler. A former Patriots player discovered this firsthand.
During a recent interview with comedian Bert Kreischer, former Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman shared an interesting encounter with Jordan and Yankees legend Derek Jeter before Super Bowl XLIX. According to Edelman, Jordan took him aside and straightforwardly said, “Hey kid, I got a bunch of money on you… don’t mess it up!”
Given what we know about Jordan’s fierce competitiveness in gambling, as revealed in The Last Dance, it came as no surprise to learn that he might take such a bold step:
“Lifetime story right there,” commented one user.

“Of course, Jordan,” wrote another.
“JorGamble,” quipped a third.
Super Bowl XLIX between the Seahawks and Patriots was a pick ’em, so it’s likely Jordan was anxiously watching when Russell Wilson dropped back to pass instead of handing the ball off to Marshawn Lynch.
The Michael Jordan effect is undeniably real.
