Offseason problems.
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons appears to have found himself in a disagreement with teammate Malik Hooker.
The tension surfaced when Cowboys safety Malik Hooker recently appeared on Keyshawn Johnson’s “All Facts No Breaks” podcast. During the interview, Johnson asked Hooker about Parsons’ podcast, which Parsons has been producing and releasing episodes of during the NFL season.
Hooker expressed his reservations about Parsons’ podcasting activities during the season, stating, “I’m not into that kind of stuff.” He went on to offer Parsons some advice, suggesting that he should prioritize team success over personal endeavors: “My advice for Micah would be just make sure we’re all right. Because if we’re at work and the run game’s terrible, but you’re doing a podcast every week … then what are you really caring about?”

Parsons responded to Hooker’s comments with a now-deleted social media post, tagging Hooker directly. He expressed disappointment that Hooker chose to air his concerns on a podcast rather than discussing them privately: “Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast! And you got my number family! @MalikHooker24 and you my locker mate! So you coulda said this any day! And you do realize I shoot the podcast on our off day! I why ain’t we talking about everyone preparations and focus.”
While Parsons is not the first athlete to engage in podcasting during the season—Travis Kelce being a notable example—his situation has drawn attention due to his standout performance on a Cowboys team striving to end its Super Bowl drought.
Despite his individual accolades, questions about his priorities persist, especially on a team with a history of falling short of expectations.
Ultimately, if Parsons contributes to a successful season for the Cowboys, any concerns about his podcasting activities are likely to fade.
However, until then, his decisions continue to spark discussion both inside and outside the team.
