When you’re part of America’s team, you can expect a level of scrutiny that surpasses most others.
Despite his initial silence in the wake of the Monday night victory against the Chargers, Cowboys standout Micah Parsons used his podcast, The Edge, as a platform to express his frustration two days later. In the latest episode, Parsons took aim at the media’s treatment of the Dallas Cowboys, with a specific focus on quarterback Dak Prescott.
Parsons raised concerns about the disparity in how the media handles Prescott and the Cowboys after a game compared to their treatment of the Eagles, suggesting that Dallas receives more severe criticism than its divisional rivals.

“I just don’t condone the bashing of Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys, and have the same energy for the Eagles. We want the same energy for everybody. Because there’s a whole bunch of bashing when it’s Dak Prescott, but not the same when it’s the Eagles,” said Parsons.Parsons remarked.
Parsons pointed to the Eagles’ loss to the Jets in Week 6, their first defeat of the season, and felt that the team hadn’t been scrutinized as thoroughly as the Cowboys.
He specifically singled out Fox’s Emmanuel Acho, who downplayed the 49ers’ loss in Week 6 to the Browns due to the absences of Christian McCaffrey, who played and scored a touchdown before exiting, and Deebo Samuel.
Parsons argued, “The Browns were missing Deshaun Watson and Nick Chubb. They were without these key players before the game even started. So why is it that we’re labeled as mere scrubs and nobodies who don’t deserve to be on the field, with a hundred excuses for other teams?”
He added, “If you’re just going to despise Cowboys Nation, just come out and say it.”
Parsons emphasized that he disapproves of the narrative surrounding his quarterback and urged the media to maintain the “same energy” when discussing other top teams such as Philadelphia and San Francisco.
It’s worth noting that if Micah Parsons were part of a different team, there’s a good chance he wouldn’t receive as much attention and hype.
Being a player on the Dallas Cowboys comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages.
