NFL star Tyreek Hill’s reaction to supposedly tasting his first donut has stirred quite a buzz on social media.
In a video shared by The Athletes Plug, the 30-year-old Miami Dolphins wide receiver is seen cautiously approaching and sniffing a chocolate frosted donut before taking a tentative bite, encouraged by someone off-camera to ‘trust it.’
After a moment’s reflection, Hill seemed surprised, remarking, ‘You were right, it looks good, but,’ he paused, then added, ‘Oh wait. That’s kind of good,’ though he confessed, ‘The first [bite] was not good, though.’
Despite the video amassing 2.6 million views, some viewers expressed skepticism about the claim that it was Hill’s first-ever donut. “I don’t believe that’s his first donut,” one user commented, reflecting a sentiment that growing up in America almost guarantees earlier encounters with the pastry. “Stop the cap,” another chimed in, using slang to express disbelief.
Other viewers critiqued the choice of donut.
Suggestions ranged from “The first donut he should’ve tasted was Krispy Kreme,” to critiques that he was given “the most boring flavor donut to try.” Others recommended a jelly-filled donut as a better first experience.
Hill, known for his extraordinary speed and athleticism, typically avoids unhealthy foods, which contributes to his peak physical condition.
After an impressive tenure with the Kansas City Chiefs, Hill is entering his ninth NFL season, his third with the Dolphins.
Last season, he achieved remarkable stats with 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping the Dolphins to an 11-6 record before a playoff loss to the Chiefs.
