NFL offseason beef is getting hot.
We find ourselves in the midst of a social media feud between former New York Jets wide receiver Mecole Hardman and current Jets punter Morstead.
This week, Hardman stirred up controversy by criticizing the Jets for their treatment of him during his brief stint with the team in 2023. Morstead swiftly responded, labeling Hardman as a “disgruntled former employee” with an “entitlement” issue.
However, Hardman didn’t take Morstead’s comments lying down. He retorted on X, indicating that Morstead may not be privy to the full story behind his grievances.
“Disgruntled? Entitled? Lol I fw you 5 but clearly you don’t know the whole story,” Hardman shot back.

Yet, Hardman’s remarks haven’t sat well with Jets fans, who wasted no time in expressing their discontent. They flooded Hardman’s replies, reminding him of his previous comments about the team and questioning his integrity.
In fact, some Jets fans have even gone so far as to suggest that Hardman might have been a source of leaks within the organization, potentially compromising the team’s game plan in a match against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The question remains: will Morstead respond to Hardman’s latest jab? We sure hope so.
