Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosby found himself having to take a lap on Tuesday after a heated exchange with Jimmy Garoppolo, as reported by The Athletic’s Tashan Reed.
Across the NFL, fights have been erupting as teams gear up for the challenging 2023 season, with incidents of altercations between teammates being captured on camera.
Although this particular incident did not escalate into a physical altercation, tensions reached a boiling point during an 11-on-11 drill earlier in the week.
As a consequence, Crosby was penalized with a punishment of running a lap.
Getting a little chippy out here. Maxx Crosby and Jimmy Garoppolo got into it during 11-on-11 drills. Crosby had to take a lap after.

Earlier last week, Crosby had mentioned Garoppolo’s outspokenness during practice, highlighting that the new quarterback is not shy about expressing himself.
Crosby said Garoppolo talks a lot of shit during workouts and practice.
“He’s a dog and I love it. And I am not just saying that because he’s my QB.” #Raiders— Vic Tafur (@VicTafur) July 26, 2023
This statement was made in a positive context, as Crosby described Garoppolo as a passionate player, admiring his teammate’s attitude.
However, it seems that Crosby eventually grew tired of it and ended up getting into some trouble as a result.
