Following the Green Bay Packers’ impactful victory over the Dallas Cowboys in Sunday’s Wild Card Game, head coach Matt LaFleur had a lot to share with reporters. LaFleur expressed pride in the team’s achievements this season and directed specific comments toward former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
Speaking about the team’s energy, LaFleur noted, “There’s a different energy about our team. It’s so much fun to come to work every day,” following the 48-32 wild-card win over the Cowboys.
Reflecting on the significant shift from the previous season, marked by drama surrounding Aaron Rodgers and his eventual departure to the New York Jets, LaFleur emphasized the positive transformation experienced by the Packers. In their first season after parting ways with Rodgers, the Packers, seeded No. 7, dominated the Cowboys with a commanding 48-16 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback Jordan Love, in his first career playoff start, showcased impressive performance with 272 yards and three touchdowns on 16-for-21 passing. LaFleur commended Love’s poise and command, expressing pride in the growth he has shown since his initial start against the Kansas City Chiefs.
LaFleur didn’t hold back his admiration for Love, stating, “Jordan Love. Wow. That’s about all I can say. Wow.” He highlighted the significant progress Love has made from his first start to the current moment.
Love, who joined the Packers in 2021, had limited playing time in his rookie season but demonstrated notable improvement in the recent season, completing 64.2% of his passes for 4,159 yards and 32 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Rodgers, dealing with an Achilles injury suffered early in the season, is still in recovery. The Packers’ decision to move on from Rodgers seems validated, given Love’s impressive performance and the positive direction of the team.
