Matt Barnes may have gone a little too far this time.
The former NBA forward and co-host of the All the Smoke podcast with Stephen Jackson apparently lost his cool while attending a high school basketball game.

Barnes was attending his twin sons’ high school game, which was being coached by his arch enemy Derek Fisher, in early February at Harvard-Westlake in Los Angeles when he allegedly threatened to slap a high school student who was working the school’s online broadcast.
The threat occurred after he was laying into the referees for giving one of his son’s a technical foul.

As a result of the incident, the Sacramento Bee is reporting that NBC Sports California has decided that Barnes will no longer serve as an analyst for the Sacramento Kings.
Barnes had held the position since 2021.
