Despite it being only the preseason, the fans at the Denver Broncos vs. San Francisco 49ers game were already displaying the intensity usually reserved for the postseason.
The game itself was thrilling, with the 49ers ultimately securing a 21-20 victory thanks to a last-minute field goal from rookie kicker Jake Moody.
Interestingly, Moody was drafted by the 49ers in the 3rd round of this year’s NFL Draft, making him only the second kicker chosen within the top 100 picks since 2016.
However, the game was not the only event of note at Levi’s Stadium that day.
A violent brawl erupted among a group of 49ers fans in the stands, resulting in at least one person being injured and escorted out by security.

While the exact cause of the altercation remains unclear, security swiftly intervened, assisted by the girlfriends of those involved in an attempt to diffuse the situation.
Sadly, there were children nearby who had to maneuver themselves out of harm’s way as the fighting unfolded. Eventually, peace was restored, and the apparent instigator, sporting a bloody shirt and a busted lip, was escorted out of the stadium by security.
One can’t help but wonder if it’s worth risking legal trouble during a preseason game, considering the circumstances.
