While there may be debates about whether Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. is the most talented wideout in the 2024 NFL Draft, there’s little question that he’s poised to be the first one off the board. The team widely anticipated to select him is now hosting him for a crucial pre-draft visit.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Arizona Cardinals welcomed Harrison for a pre-draft visit on Friday. With the No. 4 overall pick in the draft, the Cardinals are expected to prioritize the best non-quarterback available.
“The #AZCardinals hosted OSU star WR Marvin Harrison Jr. on a Top 30 visit today, source said. AZ holds the No. 4 overall pick,” Rapoport confirmed.

With the first three picks likely to be quarterbacks, held by the Chicago Bears, Washington Commanders, and New England Patriots, respectively, the Cardinals stand out as the team with no pressing need for a signal-caller. They have Kyler Murray firmly established as their franchise quarterback.
Instead, Arizona’s focus is on bolstering their offensive arsenal to support Murray’s development. The team has struggled with consistency, having only one winning season in the past eight years and just one 1,000-yard receiver in the last six seasons.
Given these circumstances, the Cardinals have ample justification to make Harrison their top selection in this year’s draft. Moreover, their history of success with top-five wide receiver picks, such as Larry Fitzgerald, suggests that Harrison could be another impactful addition to their roster.
