Mark Zuckerberg made a surprise appearance at UFC 298, joining UFC star Alexander Volkanovski’s entourage as Volkanovski prepared to face Ilia Topuria in the main event at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Despite wearing matching outfits with the rest of Volkanovski’s corner, Zuckerberg’s attempt to blend in was far from seamless, with many spectators noting his awkward demeanor on social media.
While Zuckerberg’s presence at UFC 298 may come as a surprise to some, he has developed a keen interest in MMA in recent years, even training with Volkanovski and forming a personal connection with the fighter.

The billionaire has gone as far as participating in actual MMA competitions and once entertained the idea of a match against Elon Musk.
However, Zuckerberg’s association with Volkanovski did not lead to victory on this occasion, as Topuria secured a TKO victory in the second round, claiming the featherweight belt in the process.
This defeat marks the second time in the past year that a UFC champion Zuckerberg has publicly trained with has lost their title, following Israel Adesanya’s loss to Sean Strickland in September, where he lost the Middleweight championship.
