Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has made his political stance clear in recent months, especially when it comes to former President Donald Trump. Cuban has publicly stated that he will not vote for Trump under any circumstances. When Joe Biden decided not to run in the current election, Cuban quickly threw his support behind Vice President Kamala Harris. At the Democratic National Convention, Cuban praised Harris, saying, “Kamala Harris is defining her own policies, and the Democratic Party is falling in line with her.”
For Cuban, this week’s presidential debate didn’t shift his viewpoint. He remains steadfast in his decision to vote for Harris in the upcoming election. However, what the debate did reveal was that some of Cuban’s friends in Texas may have had their minds changed.
In a social media post following the debate, Cuban shared that several of his Texas friends were impressed by Harris’ performance and the way she carried herself on stage. According to Cuban, these friends found Harris to be more “presidential” than Trump and are now considering voting for her in November.

“I have several friends in Texas who texted me after the debate and told me they were convinced that she was more presidential and would bring more stability,” Cuban wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “They would vote for her. They were concerned about whether she would stay a centrist. But thought that risk was less than Trump’s instability and inability to keep from being baited again and again.”
Cuban’s remarks reflect a growing sentiment among some voters who are weighing leadership qualities and temperament as key factors in their decision-making process. His friends’ concerns about Trump’s unpredictability seemed to play a significant role in their shift toward Harris, especially given the importance of stability during turbulent times.
Cuban, known for his outspoken nature, has been active on social media, sharing his views on politics. Last week, he called out the mainstream media for what he perceives as leniency toward Trump. “No question, the MSM protects the Republican candidate by not reporting on what he literally says. If anyone else used the exact same language, they would dismiss them as incoherent, senile, incompetent, or worse,” Cuban stated, criticizing how Trump’s words are covered in the media.
With less than two months remaining before the election, Cuban’s voice is likely to be heard more frequently. As a high-profile figure in both the sports and business worlds, his opinions carry weight with a broad audience.
Cuban’s active presence on social media and his commitment to sharing his views on the political landscape suggest that more commentary and debates are to come as election day approaches.
As the race heats up, NBA fans and political followers alike can expect to see Cuban continue to engage with current issues, voicing his strong opinions and perhaps influencing those around him to reconsider their choices.
His influence extends beyond the basketball court, and as he uses his platform to discuss politics, it will be interesting to see how his views resonate with his audience.
