Mark Cuban, the outspoken owner of the Dallas Mavericks, has not been shy about sharing his political views in recent months. One thing is crystal clear—he is not a fan of former President Donald Trump. Cuban has been vocal about his disapproval of Trump, criticizing not just his policies but his character as well.
Back in June, Cuban took to social media to express his frustration with both Trump and President Joe Biden following a debate between the two. While Cuban did not hold back in criticizing Biden, calling his performance “awful,” he was equally critical of Trump’s approach, particularly his inability to provide direct answers during the debate.
“Biden was feeble. Trump couldn’t directly answer a single question and lied with every response,” Cuban wrote. He further elaborated on the differences between the two candidates, framing the decision for voters as a choice between ethics and energy. “The question is what features voters believe make a better POTUS: Feeble, Capable and Ethical vs. Vigorous, Unethical, and Incapable of telling the truth. I’ll vote ethical every time.”
Cuban’s disdain for Trump hasn’t wavered since then. More recently, he doubled down on his critiques of Trump’s relationship with the media, accusing mainstream outlets of shielding Trump from scrutiny. “No question, the MSM protects the Republican candidate by not reporting on what he literally says,” Cuban stated. “If anyone else used the exact same language, they would dismiss them as incoherent, senile, incompetent, or worse.”

While Cuban’s belief that Trump is dishonest is central to his opposition, it’s not the only reason he won’t be casting his vote for the former president. Cuban has also been outspoken about another critical issue—climate change. Trump’s stance on the matter has been a major sticking point for Cuban, who insists that any candidate who denies the reality of climate change is not fit for office.
“I won’t vote for anyone that doesn’t believe climate change is real,” Cuban declared to his social media followers, cementing his stance on one of the defining global challenges of the era.
With the upcoming election less than two months away, Cuban’s choice is clear. He has indicated that he will be casting his vote for Vice President Kamala Harris, aligning himself with her vision for the future.
As a businessman and public figure, Cuban’s influence could sway some voters, particularly those within his sphere.
Whether his critiques and endorsements will impact the final outcome remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure—Mark Cuban won’t be backing Donald Trump anytime soon.
