Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) knew UFC fighter Sean Strickland wouldn’t “shut the f*** up,” and Strickland wasted no time proving him right with a fiery social media response on Tuesday. The former middleweight champion caught wind of MGK’s comments from the latest episode of the “Impaulsive” podcast, where the Cleveland rocker/rapper had some choice words for the controversial fighter.
Despite MGK telling Strickland to kick rocks, it’s clear the UFC star isn’t ready to let their feud die down just yet.
Strickland took to X (formerly Twitter) to hit back at MGK with a scathing post, mocking the musician’s lifestyle and appearance. “Getting lectured by a guy who drinks blood and wears a purse,” Strickland wrote. “Dawg, you had a midlife crisis and tattooed your entire body. The ‘community of intolerance’—y’all, I’d hang out with you toxic trolls any day over this c***.” But Strickland didn’t stop there; he escalated the situation by making a disturbing suggestion that MGK should self-harm, further intensifying the feud.
The bad blood between MGK and Strickland dates back to a confrontation at a Power Slap event in February, where Strickland made it clear he wasn’t a fan of MGK’s style or how he presents himself. The UFC fighter has also clashed with MGK’s partner, Megan Fox, particularly over comments he made about her children. Interestingly, though, Strickland appeared to extend an olive branch to Fox, seemingly trying to avoid further conflict with the actress.
MGK, however, didn’t hold back in his assessment of Strickland during the podcast. He revealed that he wasn’t familiar with Strickland when they first met, but later learned about the fighter’s reputation for making racist and homophobic remarks. “He’s just not my type of guy, so I would have never wanted to shake his hand in the first place,” MGK said. He went on to suggest that Strickland’s abrasive behavior stems from deep-seated insecurities, labeling him a “f***ing idiot” and predicting that he would continue to stir the pot.
Despite MGK’s clear desire to distance himself from Strickland, it looks like the UFC fighter has no intention of letting this feud fizzle out anytime soon.
The back-and-forth between these two unlikely adversaries seems far from over, and fans will be watching to see how this heated rivalry unfolds.
