Mac Jones is full of surprises now that he’s no longer employed by the Patriots.
In a recent TikTok video for his new team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, former Patriots quarterback Mac Jones offered insights into his favorite pastimes, with a hint of humor that appeared to reference his departure from New England.
When asked about his hobbies, Jones initially listed golfing, fishing, beach outings, and then unexpectedly mentioned his interest in rapping. Bursting into laughter, he confessed, “I got a couple of songs, but nobody knows about it, so, I’m letting the world know now that I’m not in New England.”

Jones, a former first-round pick from Alabama, had a promising start with the Patriots in 2021, earning a Pro Bowl nod in his rookie season. However, his sophomore year saw struggles as the team adjusted to new offensive leadership under Matt Patricia and Joe Judge.
Amidst Jones’ on-field challenges, there were visible signs of frustration, drawing criticism from Patriots veterans like Vince Wilfork and Julian Edelman. Despite efforts to revitalize the offense under Bill O’Brien, Jones found himself benched during games, eventually leading to his trade to the Jaguars in March.
Reflecting on his departure, Jones expressed gratitude towards the Patriots organization, acknowledging them as his first team and thanking them for drafting him. He described the move as a “mutual parting of ways,” emphasizing the decision’s benefits for both parties.
As Jones embarks on his journey with the Jaguars, where he is set to support Trevor Lawrence as a backup quarterback, fans are eager to witness a fresh chapter in his career. Commenting on the TikTok video, supporters expressed delight in seeing Jones’ apparent happiness in his new environment.
With anticipation building for the upcoming season, Jones will reunite with familiar faces from his Patriots days when the Jaguars face off against New England.
