Is Mac Jones still in the Bill Belichick doghouse?
There have been rumors of a strained relationship between Bill Belichick and Mac Jones throughout their first two seasons together.
Reports suggest that Belichick entertained trade offers for Jones and was unhappy with how the young quarterback handled things last year.

Similarly, Jones is said to have felt disrespected by Belichick’s inability to assemble a competent offensive coaching staff.
In a recent interview, Jones seemingly confirmed that their relationship had its challenges but added that they are now focused on a fresh start.
“I think we’re good,” Jones said, via MassLive’s Karen Guregian. “The big thing we talked about was having a fresh start.”

Despite a lackluster offensive performance in 2022, the Patriots managed to stay around the .500 mark and remain in the playoff race.
However, the team has only achieved a winning record once since Tom Brady’s departure, placing significant pressure on Belichick, Jones, and the Patriots to succeed in a more competitive AFC East.
