On Wednesday, Oklahoma City Thunder fans made their disdain for Luka Doncic unmistakably clear.
However, the Dallas Mavericks star relished the hostile atmosphere.
The Thunder lost 104-92 in Game 5 of their Western Conference semifinal against the Mavericks at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City.
As the Mavericks maintained a double-digit lead late in the fourth quarter, the Thunder crowd began to vocalize their resentment towards Doncic with chants of “Luka sucks! Luka sucks!”

When asked about the negative reception from the Thunder’s passionate fans, Doncic expressed his enjoyment of the hostility he faced throughout the series.
“I love it,” Doncic said. “When they chant ‘Luka sucks,’ it really gets me going. It’s even better.”
Doncic delivered an outstanding performance in the Mavericks’ crucial Game 5 victory, scoring 31 points on 12/22 shooting. He also recorded 10 rebounds and 11 assists, securing a triple-double.
The Mavericks now have a golden opportunity to close out the series at home. However, Doncic won’t hear any negative chants from fans at the American Airlines Center in Dallas for Game 6.
