Fresh off his much-talked-about experience drinking glacier water in Alaska last month, Ludacris seems to be embracing some quirky side effects — or at least that’s how it appeared during his recent appearance at a Major League Baseball game.
The 46-year-old rapper and actor took to the field at Truist Park on Wednesday to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Atlanta Braves faced off against the Colorado Rockies. But it wasn’t just any ordinary pitch. Ludacris showed up sporting a pair of hilariously oversized arms, reminiscent of the ones he famously wore in the music video for his 2004 hit single “Get Back.”
Ludacris’ exaggerated arm look became an instant hit with the crowd, who were clearly entertained by the rapper’s playful throwback to his iconic video.
The oversized limbs, which added a humorous twist to his first pitch, gave fans a chance to relive the outrageous visual style that helped define his early 2000s music career.
The rapper, who hails from Atlanta, has always had a flair for combining humor with style, and his return to the “Get Back” arms was met with plenty of laughs and nostalgia. But Luda didn’t stop there — he also threw in another classic reference by wearing an equally exaggerated pair of white Nike Air Force 1s, a nod to his 2003 music video for “Stand Up,” where he first debuted the oversized sneakers.
With his comically large arms and shoes, Ludacris didn’t just throw a first pitch, he put on a show, bringing his larger-than-life personality to his hometown Braves’ pregame festivities. As Luda stepped onto the mound with the crowd cheering him on, his lighthearted return to his music video roots was a perfect blend of entertainment and hometown pride.

“Get back!” became the sentiment of the night as fans couldn’t help but smile and take in the nostalgia.
Whether it was the outlandishly fun appearance or just his presence in Atlanta, Ludacris reminded everyone that his sense of humor and creativity are as strong as ever — even if his arms were much bigger than usual.
