Hailey Van Lith called it.
LSU star guard Hailey Van Lith spent her first three seasons in college playing for the Louisville Cardinals before transferring.
When the field was being announced for the 2024 Women’s NCAA Basketball Tournament, Van Lith took notice that her former school, seeded sixth, was taking on 11th-seeded Middle Tennessee State in the first round.

Van Lith appears to call the upset for the underdog on Selection Sunday.
“Middle Tennessee is gonna whoop they a–.”
On Friday, Middle Tennessee did in fact go on to defeat Louisville 71-69.
Ironically, Van Lith’s third-seeded LSU Tigers will be taking on Middle Tennessee State in the next round if they can get by Rice on Friday.
As of this writing, the Tigers lead Rice 12-6 at the end of the first quarter.
