Olivia “Livvy” Dunne gave her boyfriend, Paul Skenes, a warm show of support at Yankee Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Dunne, the LSU gymnastics star and social media sensation, was on hand to cheer for Skenes as he took the mound for the Pittsburgh Pirates in their game against the New York Yankees.
While Dunne didn’t offer a traditional “Bronx cheer”—a sarcastic mock often heard from the home crowd—she was there to show nothing but positive vibes for her beau as he dominated on the field.
Before the game, Dunne took to Instagram to showcase her game-day outfit, which included a stylish black top, black shorts, and a pair of white boots that grabbed plenty of attention. The boots featured a special personalized touch, with “Pirates” emblazoned on the front and “Skenes” written across the back, a clear nod to her support for her boyfriend and his team.
As the game kicked off, Dunne was spotted on both the YES Network and Sportsnet Pittsburgh TV feeds, showing her unwavering support as Skenes delivered a stellar performance. In the first inning, Skenes struck out two of baseball’s biggest stars—Juan Soto and Aaron Judge—with triple-digit fastballs.

Soto went down looking, while Judge struck out swinging, a testament to the power and precision that made Skenes the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft.
Skenes’ outing was brief but impressive, as he threw two perfect innings, striking out three batters before exiting the game. The Pirates limited his workload in what was confirmed to be his final appearance of the year, ensuring that their star pitcher finishes the season on a high note.
The power couple, who both attended LSU, officially went public with their relationship last summer after Skenes was drafted first overall by the Pirates. Since then, Dunne has been a regular presence at Skenes’ starts, including his MLB debut earlier this year. She’s been there to cheer him on during key moments, including his one-inning appearance during the MLB All-Star Game in Texas, where Skenes pitched a scoreless frame against the American League. After the game, Dunne was spotted beaming with pride from the stands, celebrating her boyfriend’s achievement.
Dunne recently opened up about her relationship with Skenes during an appearance on the “Best of Both Worlds” podcast, where she shared the story of how they met.
“I met Paul and I would kind of see him around, and I was like, ‘Who is this tall, mysterious guy?’” Dunne recalled. “I literally had no clue who he was, but I would just see him around. Then, during baseball season, he wasn’t even playing that game [I was at], he was in the dugout.”
Dunne described how her initial attraction to Skenes led her to make the first move, which eventually blossomed into their relationship. “So I saw him in the dugout and I was like, ‘There he is.’ I thought, ‘He’s cute, I like that side profile.’ He didn’t have a mustache yet, so he wasn’t even the Paul Skenes that we all know and love yet,” she joked. “Mustaches, right? Right. So after that, I ended up following him [on social media], and we hung out, got ice cream, and it was chill.”
Since then, the couple has been inseparable, with Dunne making it a point to support Skenes as he transitions into his professional baseball career.
Whether it’s attending games or cheering him on from afar, Dunne’s presence has become a constant source of support for Skenes during his rise to stardom. With both of them excelling in their respective fields, the duo has quickly become one of sports’ most talked-about couples.
