In their first preseason game, the Detroit Lions started their season on a high note with a 21-16 win against the New York Giants.
While several important players were absent, the Lions’ management took advantage of the opportunity to assess potential roster candidates.
Although the offense initially faced difficulties, the defense proved to be the hero by consistently rising to the occasion and thwarting their opponents. While certain aspects displayed potential, the Lions’ management may need to further evaluate other areas.
However the game for some was more about scouting the real talent. One Lions fan got caught using his zoom to check out some cheerleaders.

This marks the Lions’ inaugural appearance in the highly anticipated first game of the season.
