Dan Campbell, the head coach of the Detroit Lions, expressed relief at no longer having to face Justin Fields on the field.
Fields has consistently performed well against the Lions during Campbell’s tenure, prompting the coach to express gratitude for Fields now being a part of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
“I’m not going to lie, it’s nice to have Fields out of that division,” Campbell remarked.

Fields has faced the Lions five times in his career, amassing 843 passing yards, five touchdowns, and three interceptions. He holds a 2-3 record in those matchups.
In their most recent encounter in December, Fields led the Chicago Bears to a 28-13 victory over the Lions, throwing for 223 yards and a touchdown.
Despite Fields’ departure from the NFC North, Campbell remains cautious, knowing that the division will present new challenges. With the expectation that the Bears will draft Caleb Williams with the top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, Campbell anticipates facing another talented quarterback twice a year.
Williams, known for his exceptional skill set, aims to lead the Bears back into playoff contention.
Meanwhile, the Lions are focused on building on their success from the previous season, where they made it to the NFC Championship Game, with hopes of securing a second consecutive NFC North title.
