Skip Bayless proves that you’re never too old to venture into a new business.
In an unexpected turn of events, Skip Bayless, the host of Fox Sports Undisputed, has announced that he has completed the writing of an “extremely controversial” screenplay. He hopes that his friend, rapper Lil Wayne, will star in it.
Bayless shared this surprising news in an interview with People Magazine, expressing his dream to see the screenplay turned into a movie with Lil Wayne in a starring role.
Lil Wayne enthusiastically declared that he would “definitely be starring in that,” and Bayless responded by saying, “he means that honestly.”
Bayless has recently offered more insights into the screenplay, stating that he wrote it miraculously quickly. He admitted that he rarely likes his own writing, especially on a larger scale, but “Savior,” the title of his screenplay, is an exception. He described it as the second thing he loves, maybe even to a fault.
While Bayless didn’t disclose the plot details, he did emphasize the controversial nature of the screenplay, suggesting that studios might be hesitant to pick it up.
“It is extremely, extremely controversial,” Bayless explained. “I have no idea if I could ever get this movie made because it is so deeply controversial on so many levels that I’m not yet comfortable divulging.”
He mentioned that he had previously attempted writing but faced difficulties. During a hiatus from Undisputed, he felt inspired to begin writing again and did so fervently.
“For once, I really like and believe in everything about this screenplay,” Bayless remarked.
The fate of Bayless’s screenplay remains uncertain, and its existence is a question mark. However, one thing is for sure: a Skip Bayless-written movie starring Lil Wayne is something that would undoubtedly pique interest, if not solely for its shock value.
Skip Bayless continues to display an unrelenting drive to pursue new ventures and creative projects.
