College football fans recently became aware of her, and they were not only surprised by this news but even more taken aback by her unconventional name: Smacker.
Her professional moniker is “Smacker,” which is indeed a curious choice given that it’s a childhood nickname. Isn’t it unusual to use such a personal nickname in a professional context?
Les Miles, the former coach, was last associated with Kansas but departed in 2021 after being placed on administrative leave due to allegations of inappropriate behavior toward female students during his tenure as head coach at LSU.
A report commissioned by LSU revealed that a 2013 internal investigation at the school had accused Miles of inappropriate conduct involving female students. This included allegations of contacting them through Facebook and text, meeting them off-campus in private, and even kissing at least one of them. It’s important to note that the report did not find evidence of sexual relationships with any of the women involved.
During his two seasons at Kansas, Miles struggled with a 3-18 record, including an 0-9 season in 2020. The Jayhawks’ sole Big 12 victory during Miles’ tenure in Lawrence came against Texas Tech in 2019.
Certainly, when you name your daughter “Smacker,” you must anticipate that people will have plenty to say about it.
