Once again, the former Pittsburgh Steelers legendary quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger, found himself entangled in the hush-money trial involving Donald Trump.
On Monday, Michael Cohen, Trump’s former attorney, unveiled the ex-President’s peculiar perspective regarding Roethlisberger and the adult film actress Stormy Daniels.
Trump is presently facing trial in New York City on accusations of falsifying business records to obscure a hush-money transaction with Daniels, also known as Stephanie Clifford, aiming to conceal an alleged intimate encounter between them.
During Monday’s proceedings, Cohen took the stand to provide intricate details about his role in the purported hush-money scheme, having served as Trump’s legal counsel at the time of the payment. During his sworn testimony, Cohen revealed that Trump asserted Daniels favored him over Super Bowl-winning figures such as Roethlisberger.
Roethlisberger, who retired from the NFL in 2021, left an indelible mark on the league as one of its most prolific passers.
He ranks fifth in all-time passing yards, amassing a staggering total of 64,088 yards.
His contributions to the Pittsburgh Steelers included leading them to Super Bowl victories in the 2005 and 2008 seasons.
She stated that the quarterback was present during one of her initial encounters with the future President.
The trial centers on an alleged $130,000 payment Daniels received to maintain silence about her alleged affair with the former US President.
In her 2018 book “Full Disclosure,” Daniels recounted her interaction with Roethlisberger, expressing feeling “terrified” of him when Trump requested him to escort her back to her hotel room.
According to her narrative, the NFL star requested a “goodnight kiss,” which she declined. However, he persisted, refusing to leave and knocking on her door for several minutes.
Five years after those allegations surfaced, Daniels shed more light on her encounter with Roethlisberger last week. She recalled an incident where she tried on his Super Bowl ring after being introduced by Trump at a VIP club in Lake Tahoe.
Trump reportedly introduced Daniels as his “little friend Stormy” and referred to the Steelers legend as “Big Ben.”

Despite Daniels releasing her book in 2018, Roethlisberger declined to provide any comment.
Two years following the alleged incident, Roethlisberger faced allegations of sexual assault by a woman in a Lake Tahoe hotel room. Eventually, he settled out of court for an undisclosed sum in 2012.
In addition to the Lake Tahoe accusation, Roethlisberger encountered sexual assault allegations from a woman in Georgia in 2010.
Though the district attorney declined to pursue charges, the NFL imposed a six-game suspension, later reduced to four games.
Drafted in the first round by the Steelers in 2004, Roethlisberger spent his entire NFL career in Pittsburgh until his retirement in 2021.
