Christy Turlington grappled with a challenging moment involving her teenage son, Finn, as detailed in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar.
The supermodel recounted an incident where her son’s high school basketball opponents used a nude photo from one of her past shoots as a means to taunt him during a game. “I was surprised it hadn’t happened sooner,” she remarked, reflecting on the ordeal that the magazine described as a “heckling tactic.”
The school took action regarding the incident, stepping in to address the misuse of the image. Turlington, who is also a mother to 20-year-old daughter Grace with her husband, Edward Burns, described herself as a “shy person” who is observant and prefers to keep a low profile.
To avoid the negativity that can often pervade social media, Turlington has taken proactive steps, such as disabling comments on her Instagram posts, a suggestion from her eldest child. “I’m really happy that I don’t [have to see],” she admitted. “I’m sure if I did read something that was pointed or mean, it would hurt me in the same way. But I also try not to give that much attention to any of it.”
While Turlington continues to model occasionally, she shared that back-to-back shooting days are now overwhelming for her.
