LeBron James has spoken.
Following a non-committal post-game press conference after the Los Angeles Lakers elimination to the Denver Nuggets in five games on Monday night, LeBron James didn’t give much insight into his basketball future.
“LeBron James says he doesn’t know his plans for his NBA future. He is currently focused on his family and then after that, USA Basketball training camp.”
“LeBron on if that was his last game as a Laker: “I’m not gonna answer that. I appreciate it.””
Following the post-game presser, LeBron addressed his basketball future once again with a post on X.
“I’ve seen, heard a lot of reports about my future. I said it last night and I’ll say it again. I do not know yet as I’m only thinking about spending time with my family & friends! When I know after speaking with the fam, my counsel as well as my representation about it then you guys will know. Until then. Love”

That doesn’t give too much additional clarity, but it will have to suffice for now.
NBA insider Shams Charania sparked rumors following the Lakers loss on Monday night that the Lakers may draft LeBron’s son, Bronny James, just to keep LeBron around.
We will soon see if that ends up being a reality.
