A Beverly Crest mansion adjacent to leBron James’ dream home, allegedly occupied by squatters who transformed it into a party house, was swarmed by Los Angeles police officers on Friday.
Authorities responded to a reported hot prowl burglary at the Beverly Grove Place residence shortly before 3 p.m. Multiple suspects had entered the home, one armed with a knife.
People inside the house were detained and handcuffed, lined up on an outdoor patio as officers conducted a search. Attempts to interview guests leaving the home were unsuccessful, with none providing answers. No suspects were arrested, and those detained were later released.
The parties at the unoccupied mansion began in October 2023, where rowdy nightly gatherings charged $75 admission to partygoers. Despite neighbors’ complaints and concerns about safety, authorities were unable to halt the events as the squatters asserted a legitimate lease on the property.

Situated in a neighborhood housing celebrities like LeBron James, John Legend, and Seth McFarlane, the 5,875-square-foot mansion is close to other notable figures such as Jeff Bezos, Steve Wynn, and Ron Burkle.
A man identifying himself as “Mr. Gucci” and closing the property’s front gates expressed a desire to end the parties upon his return, citing legal advice against commenting. The mansion, once owned by Dr. Munir Uwaydah, is now listed for $4.59 million after being repossessed by the mortgage lender. The alleged squatters, who presented a disputed lease agreement, claim to have paid a $25,000 rental fee and a $10,000 security deposit for a one-year lease. Authorities, citing squatters’ rights, have faced challenges in removing them despite ongoing disruptions and incidents leading to police intervention.
Might be time for LeBron to start a neighborhood watch.
