During an interview, former NBA star Lamar Odom found himself in an uncomfortable moment when asked about his potential dating preferences, while discussing his new podcast venture with Caitlyn Jenner.
Odom who was previously married to Jenner’s stepdaughter Khloe Kardashian from 2009 to 2016, appeared on No Jumper, where host Adam22 broached the subject of Odom’s relationship with transgender women.
When asked if he would consider dating a trans woman due to his association with Caitlyn, Odom seemed taken aback and quickly exited the interview after expressing disbelief at the question.
Additionally, Odom expressed dissatisfaction with the name of his new podcast with Jenner, labeling it as “corny” due to its resemblance to Keeping Up with the Kardashians, albeit referring to Jenner by her former name, Bruce, before being corrected by his co-host Zach Hirsch.

Despite the name, Odom emphasized that the podcast would not focus on the Kardashians but instead on broader topics like life and sports. He praised Jenner’s diverse background, including her stint as an Olympic gold medalist and NBA draft pick, and expressed confidence in their podcast’s success.
The interview also delved into Odom’s personal life, including his past struggles with substance abuse and near-death experiences. Odom admitted to maintaining “friends with benefits” relationships and discussed his views on marijuana as a preferable alternative to other substances.
Reflecting on his turbulent past, which included a nearly fatal overdose in 2015, Odom expressed gratitude for his recovery and highlighted his efforts to support others struggling with addiction, particularly through investments in rehab centers.
Regarding his relationship with Khloe Kardashian, Odom discussed their whirlwind marriage, subsequent divorce, and the challenges they faced in the public eye. Despite their tumultuous history, Odom expressed respect for Kardashian and acknowledged her support during his recovery.
As for Caitlyn Jenner, Odom referred to her as a “boss” and praised her accomplishments, including her transition and podcast collaboration. He also addressed Jenner’s strained relationship with ex-wife Kris Jenner, emphasizing the complexity of their dynamic.
