The Lakers’ season has been surprisingly devoid of drama until now.
Despite the Los Angeles Lakers enjoying a successful week with three consecutive victories and gaining much-needed momentum, not everyone within the organization is experiencing the same positive vibes.
Max Christie, who generated excitement with an impressive showing in the 2023 summer league, has failed to make a significant impact during the regular season.

This week, however, a troubling revelation emerged as a model accused Christie of attempting to cheat on his girlfriend. In a video, one of the women involved stated, “Max Christie, f*** you because you got a girlfriend. You be adding my bi*** back (on Snapchat) to f*** her even though you’re not getting any p**** from her.”
This revelation has undoubtedly cast a negative light on Christie, drawing merciless criticism from fans across the board.
The Lakers are currently in the midst of a potentially blockbuster trade involving Alex Caruso, in which Christie may be included. Regardless of the trade outcome, the 20-year-old finds himself at a low point.
The question now is whether Christie can rebound from this controversy and contribute meaningfully to the Lakers this season. Plenty more learning lessons as the season goes on.
