Kyrie Irving the NFL receiver?
Once again, Kyrie Irving has made major headlines. He demanded to be traded from Brooklyn and was subsequently shipped off to the Dallas Mavericks.
Currently, he is creating waves in a different sport as footage has surfaced of him running routes on a football field and performing impressively.

You know football fans are in a bad place when they try to explain why this would be a good pickup, calling him a "good player but dramatic". The self awareness of the majority of people is quite lacking https://t.co/dYCmftt8Io

The NBA free agency period is set to commence on June 30, with the Mavericks’ top priority being the re-signing of Irving, who they acquired mid-season.
However, NBA insider Marc Stein suggests that the Mavericks may be the only team interested in Irving this offseason, as the Los Angeles Lakers do not plan to pursue him, and the Phoenix Suns can no longer sign him due to trading for Bradley Beal.
The Houston Rockets could potentially make a move for Irving, but only if former MVP James Harden stays with the Philadelphia 76ers and if All-Star point guard Fred VanVleet is not chosen instead.
During his time with the Mavericks in 2022-23, Irving averaged 27.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 6.0 assists in 20 games.
