After their remarkable comeback from a three games to one deficit to win an NBA championship, Kyrie Irving and LeBron James forged their names in sports history.
However, since their split, Irving has not been able to replicate that same level of success.
Recently, a graphic detailing Irving’s career since 2017 was shared by Basketball Forever’s Twitter account (@bballforever_).
It highlighted some of Irving’s shortcomings since departing from the Cleveland Cavaliers.
In response, Irving quote-tweeted the post, suggesting that people should save it and observe what unfolds in the coming years.
Now a member of the Dallas Mavericks alongside Luka Doncic, Irving has the opportunity to position himself as a contender once again.
However, only time will tell what the future holds, as Irving wisely remarked.
I wouldn’t bet on it.
