Kyren Williams, the running back for the Los Angeles Rams, inherited his formidable skills from his mother. This past Sunday, the Rams player’s mom gained widespread attention for thwarting a fan who attempted to disrupt a touching moment between mother and son.
Williams took center stage for the Rams in their 26-25 victory over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J.
In a stellar performance, the second-year running back racked up 87 yards and scored 3 touchdowns on 20 carries.
After scoring his third touchdown, Williams handed the game ball to his mother waiting near the end zone. However, a Giants fan, seemingly unaware of their familial connection, tried to snatch the football for himself.

The Notre Dame alum attempted to persuade the Giants fan to release the ball, but Williams’ mom took matters into her own hands, effortlessly overpowering the man in a one-on-one confrontation. With a flawless strip move, she secured possession of the touchdown ball.
The Rams’ 9-7 victory secured a playoff berth later in the day, following the Seattle Seahawks’ loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Considering the impressive defensive skills displayed by Williams’ mom against the individual sporting a Saquon Barkley jersey, Rams coach Sean McVay might want to consider reaching out if he needs an extra run stopper for the postseason.
