Kylie Kelce is proudly sporting a fan-made gift that has caught the attention of many.
The former field hockey player and wife of NFL star Jason Kelce was recently seen at an event wearing a handcrafted T-shirt.
The shirt features a photo of her from a viral clash with a woman outside a restaurant in Margate, New Jersey, back in May, along with the words “standing on business.”
In a post shared on a Kelce fan page, Kylie is pictured wearing the shirt inside an event space, posing with fans. She wore the T-shirt over a light green shirt, making a bold statement.
According to the caption, Kylie had been gifted the shirts by her fans at the Eagles Autism Foundation event, where she signed autographs late last month.
During the event, a video captured two women asking Kylie to sign their shirts. Kylie happily obliged, using a Sharpie to add her signature and the phrase “go birds” – a nod to her husband’s NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jess Ortiz, one of the women who got her shirt signed, shared with the fan page that the shirts were made by a friend who admired Kylie’s stand in the viral Margate video. The incident had shown Kylie and Jason Kelce on a date night when a woman approached them demanding a photo. The situation escalated between Kylie and the woman before they went their separate ways.
The incident gained significant attention, leading to a formal apology from Margate’s mayor, Michael Collins, who invited the Kelces back for another date night on him. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me,” Collins said in a statement on X (formerly Twitter).
The woman involved in the clash also apologized publicly through a statement to local news station WPVI-TV, expressing regret for her actions. “Although I apologized directly to the Kelce family on Saturday, I want to publicly apologize to them and our community,” she said. “My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate.”
Kylie’s decision to wear the T-shirt not only demonstrates her good sense of humor but also highlights her connection with her supporters. The incident, while unfortunate, has seemingly strengthened the bond between Kylie and her fans, who continue to show their admiration and support in creative ways.
