Kylie Kelce understands that the Christmas season revolves around creating cherished memories. In a conversation with PEOPLE after revealing the family’s 2023 holiday card with Minted, the 31-year-old mother of three shared some delightful moments from past holidays.
Reflecting on previous celebrations, Kylie highlighted memorable reactions from her oldest daughter, Wyatt. She recalled the comical moment when Wyatt received a kitchen as a gift and walked past it multiple times before realizing it was assembled in the living room. Kylie humorously remarked that they’re currently in a phase similar to the viral video of a child getting excited about receiving a wrapped avocado for Christmas.
Acknowledging the joy their daughters find in simple things, Kylie mentioned that wrapping up items like a banana brings genuine excitement. The family, including daughters Bennett, Elliotte, and Wyatt, appreciates the genuine and grateful reactions of the children during the unwrapping process.
Navigating holiday plans proves challenging due to the schedules of both Jason Kelce and his brother, Travis Kelce, who play in back-to-back home games on Christmas Day. Kylie explained their flexible approach to celebrating with family members, acknowledging the occasional need to adjust plans based on football commitments.
“For the most part, we usually try to get as many people together as possible. My parents will usually be there because they don’t live far away. Jason’s dad will usually be over because he’s just around the corner as long as he’s not in Kansas City,” Kylie says. “But Jason’s parents usually try to split the holidays to make sure that one parent is with one brother and one parent is with the other.”
“Every so often we luck out, and we get everyone at the same time. Football kind of throws a wrench in things sometimes,” she admits, noting they’ve had to celebrate holidays before and after their actual dates.
“If Christmas falls in the middle of the week on a Wednesday or Thursday, Jason might have to go into work later, and so we might not be able to do dinner that day. It’s a lot of planning, but we’re super flexible about it. So we’ve had a couple of Christmases that were not actually on Christmas and the same with Thanksgiving.”

While the family adapts to celebrating holidays on different dates, Kylie recognizes that it may become trickier as their daughters grow older. Despite potential challenges, the family remains flexible and values creating special moments, even if celebrations don’t align with the calendar.
As they navigate the complexities of football schedules and family commitments, Kylie anticipates future adjustments, considering the growing awareness of their eldest daughter, Wyatt. Despite potential challenges, the Kelce family continues to prioritize creating joyful holiday experiences for their children.
