Josh Hart of the New York Knicks has been logging at least 46 minutes per game in the last five games, cementing his role as a vital component of the team’s playoff efforts.
This heavy reliance on Hart has sparked debate around Coach Tom Thibodeau’s playoff rotations, which have become increasingly tighter due to various injuries within the squad.
When questioned about his fatigue from the extensive playing time, Hart responded in a manner many found relatable. “It’s a reality,” he stated. “But another reality is, our job is to play basketball. There are people waking up at 6 am for 12-hour shifts. Those people are tired. We’re fortunate to play a game for a living. It’s important to keep that perspective,” he explained.
Hart’s significant contributions have been crucial for the Knicks in their series against the Indiana Pacers. He scored 24 points in Game 1 and followed up with 19 points in Game 2, not missing a single minute of the series so far.
The Knicks are set to continue their playoff journey against the Pacers in Indianapolis on Friday night.
