The Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets have had some contentious chatter recently as they both battle for the final play-in tournament spot in the Western Conference.
Last month, Rockets sophomore forward Tari Eason made a video taunting the Warriors which Warriors forward Draymond Green addressed on his podcast.
That video was made during the Rockets recent 10-game winning streak which put them back into the Western Conference play-in tournament picture.
During Thursday’s crucial game between the Rockets and Warriors, Eason, who hasn’t played since January 1 due to injury, sported a shirt on the bench with the same phrase he used previously to taunt the Warriors.
“Tari Eason wore a “Warriors, come out to play” shirt to tonight’s game
Warriors won by 23 and are now 4 games ahead of Rockets in standings.”
The taunt seemed to only motivate Warriors players as the Warriors won by 23 and increased their lead to four games for the final spot in the Western Conference play-in tournament.

Klay Thompson had some thoughts on Eason’s shirt post-game.
“Klay Thompson on the Tari Eason taunt: “That’s pretty lame. Especially if you’re not even playing…But you’re just gonna be trolling from the sideline. Bro, what are we doing?””
With the victory, the Warriors look primed to make the Western Conference play-in tournament with only six games to play as the Rockets hopes are dwindling.
Since Eason’s initial video taunting the Warriors, the Rockets have lost three of four games.
