Ben, Kirk Herbstreit’s golden retriever, made an appearance on ESPN’s “College GameDay” set this Saturday morning, and as usual, he quickly became the center of attention, stealing the spotlight from the rest of the crew. Notably, Alabama’s cheerleaders were spotted playing with Ben, who seemed to thoroughly enjoy the attention.

The official Alabama Athletics account humorously noted, “Ben rolls with the Tide.”
In a revelation last month, Herbstreit shared that “Big Ben” has officially been designated as an emergency support animal. While Ben has been fulfilling this role for Herbstreit for nine years, it’s now officially recognized. Herbstreit expressed gratitude for having Ben by his side and mentioned their upcoming journey to the Windy City.
Given the warm reception, it seems fitting that every future episode of “College GameDay” includes Ben in the mix. The bond between Herbstreit and his canine companion adds a heartwarming touch to the backstage scenes.
