Kirk Cousins swiftly secured a new contract, finalizing a four-year agreement with the Atlanta Falcons just two hours after the legal tampering window opened.
The deal with the Falcons boasts a substantial value of $180 million, with a hefty $100 million guaranteed.
On Thursday evening, Julie Cousins, Kirk’s wife, shared her concise thoughts on the transition from Minnesota to Atlanta. She posted a snapshot of the family packing their belongings, preparing for their relocation down south to their new residence.

“Packing up for the journey south… perfect time for some musical interludes,” expressed Julie Cousins, as reported by the New York Post. “Atlanta, here we come!”
In another post, Julie shared an image of the family pet, accompanied by the caption: “This little guy seems to be the only one less than thrilled about our move down south!”
With Julie’s roots in Alpharetta, Georgia, it’s reasonable to assume her excitement about Kirk joining the Falcons.
Meanwhile, the Vikings conveyed their fondness for Cousins and his family, acknowledging their contributions to both the team and the Minneapolis-St. Paul community over the past six seasons.
We came to Minnesota 6 years ago when Cooper was just 6 month old and Turner came shortly after!! Time flies when you’re having fun! I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped us build our life in Minnesota over the past 6 years. We have the most beautiful memories we will cherish forever! ?
“Kirk holds a special place in Vikings history, and we appreciate his leadership and contributions to the team and the Minneapolis-St. Paul community over the past six seasons,” remarked Kwesi Adofo-Mensah of the Vikings. “We wish him, his wife Julie, and their children all the best.”
Best of luck to the Cousins.
