Bill Belichick is poised to become the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, having undergone two interviews with the NFC team after departing from the New England Patriots.
With the Patriots experiencing a challenging season, finishing 4-13 and missing the playoffs, Belichick is attracted to coaching an underachieving team with a talented roster, making the Falcons a suitable fit.
Speculation arises about the quarterback position, and veteran Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings has expressed openness to playing under Belichick, emphasizing his respect for the legendary head coach.
“I’m not going to turn down an opportunity to play with a future Hall of Fame coach, but we’ll have to see where March leads,” the recovering QB told CBS sports. “It’s just a lot of unknowns right now.”

Interestingly enough, Cousins wife is from Atlanta. Julie Hampton Cousins was born in Atlanta on August 27, 1989, making her approximately a year younger than her significant other, Kirk Cousins. Despite following Kirk to Washington and subsequently to Minneapolis, Hampton Cousins has consistently emphasized her loyalty as a Falcons fan. Upon completing high school, she commenced her college education at the University of Georgia in Athens.
Cousins, whose season ended with an Achilles injury in Week 8, faces uncertainties about his future with the Vikings, potentially paving the way for a dream collaboration with Belichick in Atlanta. As Cousins embarks on his quest for a Super Bowl, the offseason promises intriguing developments for the quarterback.
