First of all thank you to the tremendous teammates, coaches, support staff, management and ownership of the Minnesota Vikings for the way they have come alongside me and supported me. A quarterback really doesn’t have a chance without great people around him and for six seasons in Minnesota I had great people around me and I don’t take that for granted. It was a privilege to quarterback the Minnesota Vikings … I’d also just like to say thank you to the people in Minnesota, the people of the Twin Cities — you meant so much to my family and as a result of your impact Minnesota will always hold a special place in the hearts of me and of my family. So thank you and God bless.
He also extended his appreciation to the people of Minnesota, particularly those in the Twin Cities, for their impact on his family. Cousins acknowledged their significant role and expressed gratitude for the lasting memories created during his time in Minnesota.
Cousins’ journey to Atlanta comes on the heels of one of his most productive seasons, despite being cut short by an Achilles injury. Before the setback, he had showcased remarkable durability, having missed only two games out of a possible 138 since assuming the starting role earlier in his career with Washington.
