Kevin Hart has voiced his opposition to the idea of Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic winning another NBA MVP award.
Despite Jokic’s impressive track record with two MVP titles already to his name and a potential third on the horizon, Hart believes another win for Jokic could be detrimental to the NBA.
“They cannot give the Joker any more MVPs,” Hart stated, according to Awful Announcing. “It’s not good for the NBA. Joker cannot win another MVP.”
The debate around MVP awards is perennially contentious. If Jokic continues to outperform his peers significantly, some argue he should naturally receive the MVP, regardless of past wins or other players’ performances.

This debate isn’t confined to basketball alone; it extends across major sports like baseball, football, and hockey, where there’s constant discussion about whether the MVP should always go to the standout player of the season.
This season, Jokic has been in exceptional form, averaging 26.6 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists per game, making him a central pillar for the Nuggets. His performance has helped position his team at a formidable 56-24 record, nearing the top seed in the Western Conference as they aim to defend their NBA Championship title following last year’s victory over the Miami Heat.
As the season progresses, it remains to be seen whether Jokic will clinch his third MVP award, a decision that will surely reignite debates about the criteria for the league’s most prestigious individual honor.
