The Phoenix Suns attempted to form their own “Big 3” when they signed Bradley Beal to a contract in the offseason.
So far the experiment of a “Big 3” with Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker hasn’t gone exactly as planned as Booker and Beal have battled injury throughout the season and the Suns are currently in sixth place in the Western Conference at 45-31.

However, things are looking up for the Suns as all three stars are currently healthy and they have won seven of their last ten games as the playoffs approach.
In his best seasons, Beal averaged 30+ points per game while with the Washington Wizards, but he has had to of course sacrifice some scoring numbers playing with Durant and Booker in Phoenix. Due to this he is averaging 17.4 points per game which would be his lowest total since the 2015-16 season with the Wizards.
Durant commented on the balance between the Suns’ “Big 3” saying that he wants Beal to be “more aggressive.”
This from lead writer at PHNX Sports Geral
‘There’s gonna be times where we all gonna have our chances to initiate and get guys going, and Brad’s done a good job of making the extra pass, getting into the lane, finding guys. We actually want him to be more aggressive’
The sixth-place Suns have six games remaining as they look to avoid the Western Conference play-in tournament.
They currently have the same record as the seventh-place New Orleans Pelicans but hold the tiebreaker edge due to head-to-head record.
The top six teams in each conference make the playoffs while the seventh- through tenth-place teams in each conference will be subjected to the play-in tournament.
